The I-84 Transportation Investment Area (TIA) is one of the five TIAs created to assist the Connecticut Transportation Strategy Board (TSB) in developing a comprehensive statewide strategic plan in Connecticut. Different Regional Planning Organizations (RPOs), Metropolitan Planning Organizations (MPOs), and other concerned agencies in each TIA region formed TIA committees to come up with a recommendation plan that include essential local/regional input into the statewide strategic transportation planning process for their corridor.
